A great example of how your photos will turn out i A great example of how your photos will turn out if you read the guides and helps I send you during your family photo experience with me. I am forever grateful to this mom for being prompt on filling out her questionnaires and reading the guides. We avoided miscommunications, she picked the perfect clothing, and the perfect location representing what her family values: the mountains. It made for a smooth sailing session.

I give you a lot of information, but it is sooo vital to helping you have the best experience possible. I mean, look at the photos. They were ready to laugh and smile for their mom, but I also may have bribed them with a little treat at the end. 😉 The key to these stunning photos was all in the prep work.

Susie knew how important the details were going to Susie knew how important the details were going to be at her wedding. She chose real flowers, had her nails exquisitely done, and her veil was just stunning! I’m pretty sure there were at least 5 people that came up to her on the temple grounds to comment on how pretty her bouquet was. 😍

She also handled the weather like a champ! It was literally pouring rain in most of our photos and she didn’t let it get to her at all. And then the sun came out for us at the very end.

Congrats you two!

Meet Baby Bryce! He was having a rough morning whe Meet Baby Bryce! He was having a rough morning when we took these photos, but he still made the photos turn out great! If you’re worried at your session that your baby isn’t being as calm as you want them to be, don’t worry. Relax, we will still get great photos and you’ll only remember their tiny toes and how precious they are at this stage!

Sneak peak of this wedding from two weeks ago. The Sneak peak of this wedding from two weeks ago. The details matter so much! Just look at this veil 😍 Susie had her nails, hair and makeup done and it made such a difference in how her photos turned out. Her flowers and veil are some of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. The details matter!

My grandma passed away a few months ago. As we mad My grandma passed away a few months ago. As we made arrangements for her funeral, we needed photos of her. She hated getting her photo taken but every year at our summer party the last few years I made her. Last summer all of the 18 cousins were able to make it and we got the one last photo of all of us. I’m SO glad I took these photos.

When Allerie asked me to take her extended family photos, she explained her grandma was recently diagnosed with cancer. I went into this session a little differently. Thinking and knowing that these images mean a lot now, but will mean so much more in years to come. Knowing these will take on a different meaning later.

As we head into Memorial Day weekend, I am reminded of going to the cemeteries to remember those that have gone before me. Usually with my grandma, but this year to visit her grave. To remember to hold my babies close. To hang out with my parents a little more. To spend a little more time with my family. And to remember the great men and women who worked hard in their lives so that I could be here today. I hope you do the same.

Don’t have enough time between your temple seali Don’t have enough time between your temple sealing and your reception? Not to worry! You can always do photos of you and your fiancé around the temple BEFORE your sealing.

That’s exactly what Lauree and Sam did. They were crunched for time since they had an afternoon sealing at the Provo City Center temple and a reception in Murray. So we met before the sealing and spent a relaxing hour getting some great photos around the temple. We did all the group photos after the sealing (if you have experience a temple wedding with me before you know that I go very fast with group photos.) and then it was off to the reception!

Happy 1 year Lauree and Sam! I hope it was filled with love, laughter, and lots of Star Wars.

Deciding whether to get your makeup done or do it Deciding whether to get your makeup done or do it yourself?

I always suggest to brides to get their makeup done. Trust me, it's the secret weapon to having the best wedding photos possible.

Emily didn’t like wearing tons of makeup on a daily basis, but she decided to get her makeup done professionally anyway! Her makeup artist gave her the natural look she wanted while also contouring her face for different lighting scenarios that would happen throughout the day.

So get your makeup done! It helps enhance your natural features and make your wedding images become timeless.

Happy 1 year Emily and Mitch!
